Our Team
Joe is the Founder and Managing Partner of Ambient Studios with a long history and background in program & project management and software development lifecycle management working and consulting for Fortune 500 companies such as DuPont, Mattel and Disney as well as a for the University of Southern California.
Joe achieved success early in his career as a project manager through strategic implementations of enterprise applications helping companies transform their business through technology enablement including corporate intranets, IT service management, EHS, SaaS/cloud computing, financial and ERP systems.
Through his journey, Joe found a passion for developing solutions and business applications that solve for real-world business needs in the right way. He birthed Ambient Studios as a vehicle to collect like-minded, agile professionals who shared in this vision to help businesses achieve their potential.
Joe holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Religion from the University of Southern California (USC) in Los Angeles, California. He holds active certifications as a Project Management Professional (PMP)®, a Certified Scrum Professional®, a Microsoft Certified Professional and an AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate.
Joe currently resides in Brea with his wife and three children and is heavily involved in his local church and getting more involved in the business and local communities. Joe studied the viola early in his life and has recently picked up Olympic archery as a new hobby. He enjoys going to Disneyland, Korean variety shows and USC Trojans football games.
Giang is a Customer Success Lead at Ambient Studios with a background in business analysis, requirements gathering, systems administration, customer service and support, and project management. He is curious at heart and is passionate about finding solutions to business problems.
Prior to joining the Ambient Studios team, he was at Disney for 12 years which gave him the opportunity to support multiple business units. His previous work ranges from developing interactive user training, systems administration of creative applications, technical project management of large scale events, managing rewards and gift card payment systems, to deploying audio/video technology.
Born and raised in Southern California, he holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems, and Electronic Business from the California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. He enjoys traveling, great food, exploring, national parks, and is aspiring to become an Ironman.
Irene is a Marketing Associate at Ambient Studios with a background in email marketing (MailChimps and HubSpot), looking to expand her expertise in brand management, digital marketing strategies and marketing project management.
She recently graduated from the University of California, Irvine with a dual-degree in Business Administration (Marketing) and International Studies, and studied abroad in Italy at the University of Bologna. During her college career, she explored a various field of marketing at local start ups and campus organizations. Her experiences range from entry level roles as a market researcher and social media intern to managerial level positions as a digital marketing project manager and event manager.
Born in South Korea and raised in California, she is an avid traveler. When she is not daydreaming about her next dream destination, she enjoys experimenting and perfecting delicious pastries for her friends and families to enjoy, reading books, and attempting to learn a new language.
Jay is a Business Development Representative at Ambient with an interest to learn and to expand his expertise in sales and technology.
Jay graduated from Biola University with B.A. in Liberal Studies, Elementary Education and a minor in Theology. Jay has acquired his Multiple Subject Credential and has taught in both general and special education classrooms. Jay has also completed a Web Development Coding bootcamp through LearningFuze. He has a deep fascination in coding and looks to improve his frontend coding skills.
Jay was born in South Korea and was raised in California. Outside of work, Jay enjoys working out, playing video games with his friends, binge reading manga, and cooking up new recipes.
After receiving his Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Biola University while minoring in Theology and Business Administration, John developed an interest in the role psychology plays within the workplace. He then went on to obtain his Master of Arts degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology.
Since graduation John has taken up multiple roles in vastly different organizations ranging from housing solutions, government bureaucracy, and e-commerce retailing. He is fascinated by each organization’s unique culture and business trajectory.
Born in Hong Kong and grew up in California, John is currently residing in the greater Los Angeles area. Outside of work, John stays active through weight training and connected through his involvement with the local church community.
Matt brings over 15 years web design experience to the table, with a particular focus on UI, Usability and Front-End development. After earning his degree in 2001, he started working creating merchant stores for Linkin Park’s Merchandising company BandMerch in Augora Hills, California, From there, he went to work for a web boutique Intellixmedia, creating interactive CD’s and Flash based websites. After just a year, he was recruited when his work caught the attention of Microsoft Partner Agency – Speaktech, which opened doors to JavaScript and CSS focused development for clients such a Disney, LiveNation, Myspace, and Allergen.
After SpeakTech was acquired by Perficient, Matt continued to develop SharePoint Corporate Portals with them as a Freelancer. He relocated to Berlin in 2013 and worked part-time in the growing startup scene while also continuing to develop SharePoint Portals for clients back in the USA. Matt was reconnected with Joe and joined Ambient Studios in 2015 after their days working together at Disney working on a Business Unit's Corporate Intranet project.
Matt holds Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication from Principia College in St Louis, Missouri as well a certification as a Scrum Master (CSM).
Matt current resides in Berlin, Germany with his girlfriend and two kids. He enjoys traveling, discovering new music, and surfing when he’s home in California.
Scott Nagy is one of our Software Engineers. He has spent more than a decade working and consulting for organizations such as Microsoft, Amazon.com, Bed Bath & Beyond, The Cleveland Clinic, Costco, Dow Corning, and Progressive Insurance. He is experienced in all phases of the project life cycle and is also fluent in both waterfall and agile development methodologies. Scott is an experienced Developer that is passionate about his career and is dedicated to doing it well.
Scott's developed a solid reputation for helping clients focus less on their technology challenges and more on doing what they do best. He's committed to being flexible and responsive to our clients’ needs. It’s that commitment that sets him apart. Scott has worked hard in his field, and that diligence shows in his work ethic and performance.
Scott currently resides just outside of Tampa, Florida with his wife. He enjoys fishing and traveling.
